Ivy was dying. A terminally ill human girl with nothing left to lose—until she stumbled into a vampire's castle. Julian, a pureblood lord cursed by the mystery of his mother's murder, needed a pawn to escape the Matriarch Ella's forced marking. He bound Ivy with a contract: his protection in exchange for her blood. A marriage of convenience between a dying girl and a dead man walking. But Ivy's blood was not ordinary. Every drop she gave him awakened fragments of a truth buried for centuries. Julian's mother had not died by accident. And Ivy carried the key to her killer. As assassins closed in and conspiracies unraveled, the contract-bound master and servant became something else entirely. He stopped seeing a human blood bag. She stopped seeing a monster. In the final crypt, where Julian's mother had fallen, Ivy's sleeping power exploded—revealing a secret that would shatter vampire society. Some bonds begin as chains. They ended as wings.
