Hunted by his enemies, Joshua Fuller flees into the mountains, where he is saved by Nancy Bush, leading to an unexpected night of intimacy. Unfortunately, all he remembers about her is that she was carrying an herbal pouch, making it impossible for him to find her despite years of searching. They cross paths again seven years later when Nancy, now a mother of four sons, stands up for Joshua. However, when he meets Sharon Smith, he mistakes her for the woman from his past.
