Debt-ridden former corpse restorer Leon takes a night security job at the allegedly cursed No.9 Antique Museum, signing a bizarre contract that binds his very life. He unexpectedly awakens ancient restoration powers and follows the museum's rules to neutralize supernatural anomalies from tomb-guarding beasts and blood-weeping jade hairpins, gradually taming an array of artifact spirits. Joining forces with the Spirit Suppression Bureau to battle the Black Snake Syndicate smuggling possessed artifacts, Leon uncovers his own lineage as a Spirit Guardian and becomes the museum's eternal night guardian.
