Lidita loved Arthur deeply for five years, only to be publicly humiliated by him and her sister, Chloe, at their wedding; framed and drugged, she suffered a miscarriage that left her permanently infertile. Heartbroken and driven to despair, she threw herself off a cliff. Upon learning the truth—that it was Lidita who had always saved and protected him, while Chloe was a deceitful, venomous imposter—Arthur was shattered. Consumed by madness and remorse, and tormented by hallucinations during his time in a psychiatric institution, he ultimately cast himself into the same sea where Lidita had perished, seeking atonement.
