Due to the broken cash flow, Rosemary's father forced her to seduce and marry Raymond, the Ji family head who was sickly and needed a woman to bring him good luck through marriage. Rosemary secretly contacted Lord Strix, the underworld leader, unaware that he and Raymond were the same person. Raymond decided to "taken revenge" on Rosemary.
