Stone, an adopted son from a poor family, becomes a top scholar. He is raised by his foster mother Cuisy after her husband dies saving him. Despite enduring bullying and humiliation, she ensures he receives an education. When Cuisy is diagnosed with terminal cancer, Stone enters a competition held by the Kurn family. However, Audrey attempts to prevent him from participating. Gabriel Kurn reveals that Stone is actually the lost heir Theo. Audrey confesses to murdering his parents and is taken to court as a result. Pretending to go abroad for treatment, Cuisy passes away at home instead. Tricked into believing that she will return if he achieves top scholar status, Stone excels in his exams only to discover that she has already passed away — this story portrays selfless love that endures even beyond death.
