Forced to take her stepsister's place and marry Tristan Lynn, the notoriously cruel and supposedly impotent Mr. Lynn, Maya Harper flees her wedding—only to accidentally jump right into Tristan's car. Unaware he is the very groom she is running from, she begs him for help. The aloof Tristan plays along and takes her home. A year later, Tristan looks at an exhausted Maya in bed and smirks, "Still think I am impotent?"
