The Southlands Saintess Beatrice repays Lucius’s life-saving kindness by using her Gu blood to keep him alive, pretending to be a fool for three years while being humiliated and exploited by Lucius and his adopted sister Helena. On the eve of the succession ceremony, she regains her sanity, exposes the truth, and reclaims her Gu blood. Lucius suffers a devastating backlash and collapses, while Helena’s crimes are revealed. In the end, Lucius atones by sacrificing his organs, and Beatrice returns to the Southlands to reclaim her throne as Saintess.
