Just after giving birth to her second child, Su Nian discovers her husband Zhou Sheng's infidelity and affair. Her former affection instantly transforms into a calculated transaction. She stops crying and nagging, heeding her mother's advice to suppress her romantic feelings, and meticulously manages to secure all their assets, pre-notarizing her inheritance to protect herself and her child's financial stability. Zhou Sheng feigns a return to the family, coveting the Su family's billions in assets. He borrows 50 million yuan for a project, signing a debt agreement riddled with traps. Su Nian secretly orchestrates events, persuading Zhou Sheng's assistant, who is secretly hoarding a large sum of money, to empty his slush fund. She also gathers evidence of his mistress's pregnancy and the embezzlement of 8 million yuan to support her lover. At the shareholders' meeting, she forcefully seizes power, taking control of Zhou's company. She exposes the mistress's child as not being Zhou Sheng's, forcing her into imprisonment for fraud. To gain forgiveness, Zhou Sheng signs a divorce agreement, leaving with nothing and living a life of poverty. Five years later, Su Nian took charge of a billion-dollar business group, living a stable and wealthy life with her two children and mother, while her ex-husband became a low-level car washer, only able to watch her glamorous life from afar and regret it for the rest of his life.
