Shen Ruochu, the heiress of the Shen family, had just returned to the country when her father appointed her to manage the family's entertainment conglomerate. On her very first day, a guest on a popular dating show fell ill, and Shen Ruochu was recruited as a last-minute replacement due to her striking appearance. On the show, she found herself pitted against the company's newly promoted starlet and a rival "green tea" idol who had bought her way into the production. Paired with the movie emperor, Gu Zhixing, she became the target of their subtle and overt schemes, leading to dramatic confrontations. Their subtle on-screen chemistry sparked criticism from viewers, who accused her of cunning tactics. After the show, Gu Zhixing sought her out, and they married directly, embarking on a sweet, hidden newlywed life.
