Evara spent seven years waiting for her mate Rylan to complete their blood bond ritual, only to be publicly discarded by him for his childhood sweetheart Lyra and her child. Heartbroken, she accepted a political marriage and vanished for three years. When she returns to her old territory with her new powerful, devoted husband Lord Kael and their son, Rylan and Lyra mock her ruthlessly, deeming her a desperate abandoned ex. They never realize the humble woman they humiliate is Kael’s officially bonded consort Hela. After being assaulted and her precious token destroyed, Evara’s identity is exposed. Regret-stricken Rylan begs for reconciliation, yet Evara firmly chooses her tender, protective family, leaving her cruel former lover trapped in endless remorse.
