"After five years of marriage, Jean Cooper faces her mother's critical condition—only to have her husband Jason Woods flaunt his mistress Rena Lynn, indirectly causing her mother's death and even disrupting the funeral. Jean cuts her hair in severance but is met with professional blacklisting. Her senior Hugh James quietly supports her and invites her to join Cosmos Group. As Jean rises on her own merit, she discovers James was the one who actually saved her mother years ago. Consumed by jealousy, Jason kidnaps Jean, but James rescues her and breaks Woods' leg, leaving his company near bankruptcy. In a final attempt, Woods and Lynn plagiarize a key proposal—only to be exposed when Jean is revealed as the original author ""Q"". Lynn is imprisoned, Woods goes bankrupt, and Jean finds lasting love and partnership with James, who stood by her all along."
