Chloe was the legitimate daughter of the Vance family, engaged to Julian Sterling, heir to a powerful dynasty. But on the night of the gala that was supposed to seal her future, her adopted sister Seraphina exposed a fabricated scandal, armed with intimate photos and a forged birthmark. Her own biological mother stood by and watched, then banished her to the border. Chloe died in exile, betrayed by everyone she trusted. Then she opened her eyes. She was back at the gala. Back before the nightmare began. This time, she knew every trap, every lie, every knife hidden behind a mother's smile. She used the memory of her death to turn the game around. She saved Julian from an accident, won his trust, and waited for her enemies to show their hands. They drugged her. They hired a thug to ruin her. They locked the door. But Chloe had already switched the room. The trap snapped shut on Seraphina instead. The recording played. The police came. The mother and daughter who had tried to destroy her were banished. Chloe finally took her place as Julian's wife, not as a pawn, but as a queen. She had walked through hell once. She would never walk it again.
