While Vivian struggles to evacuate her own mother, a collapsing beam crushes Fiona, leaving her critically injured. At the hospital, Vivian's attempt to retrieve medicine is delayed by Sharon and Trusen, wasting precious time. As Fiona's condition turns fatal, Vivian repeatedly begs Trusen to see her mother one last time — only to be refused. Fiona passes away alone. Later, at his promotion celebration, Trusen learns the devastating news. Shattered, he pleads for forgiveness, but Vivian walks away, cold and resolute.
