Gu Hongyuan, chairman of a trillion‑dollar group, stages his company’s bankruptcy to test his two sons’ filial piety and pick a qualified heir. Upon seeing him reduced to ruin, his eldest son Gu Mingzhe and second son Gu Mingxuan turn cold‑hearted and drive him out of the house. Furious, Gu Hongyuan faints on the street and is saved by his youngest daughter Gu Nian, whom he wronged four years ago and forced out with nothing. Putting past grievances aside, Gu Nian uses her savings to take good care of him. Gu Hongyuan finally sees his children’s true natures. He resumes his status as the richest man, exposes his two sons’ frame‑up plots, revokes all their privileges, and bequeaths the trillion‑dollar family business entirely to the kind and filial Gu Nian.
