In a near-future fantasy metropolis where humans and the Dark Night Beast Clan live in deep-seated enmity, human healer Lunn encounters the gravely wounded beast supreme Karen, who forcibly binds them together with a symbiotic life contract — their lives now intertwined. Initially at constant odds, Lunn slowly eases Karen's bloodline curse with his unique medical skills, and forbidden feelings take root. When beast clan extremists ally with human radicals to tear them apart and plunge both races into war, Lunn and Karen, aided by their loyal friend Oliver, crush the conspiracy. They transform their coercive bond into a willing, eternal tether — shattering racial barriers and forging peace between two worlds.
