Twelve years ago, Elara's mother Catherine nailed her to a death tree as a sacrifice. She was called a curse. She was left to die. A wolf prophet named Sylvia saved her, raised her, and awakened the witch blood within her. Elara grew eyes that could see fate, but the ritual left a death curse in her soul. She had until her next birthday to break it. The only cure was to return to Nightfall Castle and bind her fate to her blood family. Twelve years later, she walked back through the gates. Her stepmother hated her. Her adopted sister schemed against her. Her youngest brother wanted her gone. She was thrown into a crumbling tower on her first night. But she was no longer the helpless child they remembered. She saw every lie. She broke every curse. She exposed the false wizard poisoning her grandmother and unmasked the traitors who had sold the family's secrets. One by one, her enemies fell. Then the clock struck midnight. Elara had one last battle: the curse inside her. The family she had come to save, the same family that had once abandoned her, stepped forward. Her father, her grandmother, her two brothers—they cut their palms and bound their fates to hers. The curse shattered. The chains broke. The girl who had been called a curse was finally free. Twelve years late, she received the embrace she had always deserved.
