Wren was the most renowned independent investigator in the industry. Her team consisted of her fiancé, her brother, and her best friend—the four of them, working together, had never failed. Until Ethan appeared. The underground laboratory of this biotech conglomerate founder held terrifying secrets capable of disrupting the entire industry. Wren's in-depth investigation touched a nerve with the financial world. Ethan offered an exorbitant sum, turning her three most trusted associates against her one by one. It was a perfect siege. Wren lost her freedom, her reputation, even her life—at least that's what the world thought. Three years of lying low. Three years of enduring humiliation. Three years forging herself into a silent blade. Anonymous, she sowed discord between Ethan and the mercenary leader Clara, dismantling the armed group's technological system and secretly gathering evidence of betrayal. The former queen of investigation was now a vengeful ghost lurking in the shadows. The final battle: all her enemies gathered. Wren publicly exposed the entire conspiracy, making every traitor pay the price. But as she stood atop the ruins, watching her former lovers, relatives, and friends fall one by one, only desolation remained in her heart. Three years of revenge had yielded only the realization that she had already lost everything. When trust is shattered to dust, the winner is nothing more than a more lonely survivor.
