It turns out that Gu Jinchen only pursued Lin Xitong to make his ""unattainable love,"" Xu Yuanyuan—who left him years ago—jealous. Every night, Gu Jinchen would leave to secretly meet Xu Yuanyuan. Meanwhile, Lu Yao, for the benefit of his corporation, agreed to Gu Jinchen's request to entertain Lin Xitong as his stand-in during these nightly absences. Lu Yao assumes this stand-in farce will end in two weeks, but Lin Xitong discovers his and Gu Jinchen's secret.
